The annual (outside of pandemics!) 5.6 K run through Harold Parker State Forest
June 11, 2023: time for another race in the woods! Here are my shots from the event, mostly of the runners shortly after they passed the 5K mark and were nearing the finish. The course is actually 5.6K or so, and the last section is a bit tricky with lots of roots and rocks. | |
The official race results from the timing company are at my.racewire.com/results/37485 along with a few more pictures, if you can get their website to actually work. |

After the participants were off and running, I headed down to a spot on the
lower half of the
"magic tomato",
just past the 5K point,
where I could reliably see all the runners coming at me as they entered
the last leg of the course.

Finally, Jill came along, sweeping the tail and collecting the directional signs. Race done! Time to head back up to the Pond and grab some food. |
