We finally got a break from a long string of rainy weekends for a beautiful
Sunday morning, and gathered again in Harold Parker state forest for the
yearly
woodland fun run.

That time of year again!

New branded pop-up

FoHP got a new custom pop-up canopy to go over the food table!
The
Racewire
folks had the usual timing setup, although not a full-width sensor mat this
time.
Here's a
short video
of the race start [about 13 Mb], courtesy of Pat, since I had already left
by then to get myself set up on the course.

Timing setup at start/finish

Now, here are the on-course photos!
Generally shot at f/4.0 and 1/200 with ISO 800 gain to mostly freeze the
motion.
The light this particular morning was very "orange", likely from the Canadian
wildfire smoke that had been drifting eastward, so everything needed a good
dose of white-balance correction in post.
I think I caught everyone who ran, although I deployed myself a little earlier
in the course which tended to bring batches of people passing by and
sometimes hiding each other.
I tried to wait until everyone in a group was visible.
Lesson learned: probably better to be *later* along the course instead.
Can you find yourself and your friends?
As usual, each small image links to its larger version (1200 x 1200 and in a
new tab, so simply close that to return to the main page).
